Changing my life was not a big step. It was a choiceless choice.

My inner branding journey

From being a goal getter and center stage focused in the business world

Being born and raised in The Netherlands, in a highly competitive family, I learned to value and strive for success from a very young age. Next to playing sports at the highest national level, I dedicated my focus and attention to achieving the best results in my studies. I studied BSc International Business Administration and MSc Organisational Change and Consultancy with the sole intention of having a successful career perspective.

During my graduation thesis I quickly discovered that working within a corporate was not going to be my thing. I needed flexibility, freedom and autonomy. Even more so, I longed for creativity, authenticity and connection. Something that I found in my first job at a creative digital agency.

For 2,5 years I worked as a creative strategist for that agency before I decided to start on my own. I have worked as a freelancer for 7 years on projects for various international organisations, all strategy and marketing related. I was successful in it and for a couple of years that external recognition and validation was exactly what I needed.

It gave me the life I thought I wanted to live: all the (financial) freedom to travel the world and live in my own apartment like a young urban professional in the city centre of Amsterdam.

Yet, there was something missing. I felt empty and purposeless. I started searching and seeking and investing most of my time and money into personal growth & development processes. Those experiences brought me indescribably profound insights and understandings about myself and the relationship to my outer world and led me to a clarity and a calling that was too loud to ignore.

To living and being of service in a conscious community

I knew intuitively and felt in my heart that I wanted to spend my time and life differently. I want to be with people who have the same longing as I have: to support myself and others in living the truth of who I am.

And then the invitation came (perfectly aligned with my Human Design Projector strategy — the system I am deeply passionate about): a dear friend of mine invited me and my partner to come to Mallorca to live in the conscious community she founded in 2015 and run it with her together.

As of today, DIMA is a Mystery School in which we unlearn everything that is not real. It is a place in which we learn to dissolve the barriers and integrate the disconnected parts of ourselves by participating in the mystery school’s curriculum whilst living in a community center devoted to the path towards greater connectedness.

Whilst living in DIMA and next to all the responsibilities and tasks that come with participating in a community, my unique role and purpose within our common purpose became clear the last year.

I am here to guide others in realising their full potential by clarifying, expressing and sharing their unique gift with the world.

And so The Inner Branding Guide was born. I feel extremely excited, fulfilled and empowered to be supporting others to live the truth of who they are in a way that is unique to me.

The Inner Branding approach is not just based on a belief, I have experienced myself that alignment of my inner and outer world attracts abundance. I feel grateful and blessed every day by the abundance I receive in my life here.
